Eredivisie Over Under Bet

The Eredivisie (Honor Division) is the highest professional football league in the Netherlands. The league was founded in 1956, two years after the start of professional football in the Netherlands.

An Eredivisie season runs from August to May with participating 18 clubs. Each club meets every other club twice during the season, once at home and once away for a total of 34 games each.

At the end of every Eredivisie season, the club at the bottom is automatically relegated to the second level of the Dutch league system, the Eerste Divisie (First Division). Meanwhile, the champion of the Eerste Divisie is automatically promoted to the Eredivisie.

The next two clubs from the bottom of the Eredivisie go to separate promotion/relegation play-offs. The play-offs are played in two groups. Each group has one Eredivisie club and three high-placed clubs from the Eerste Divisie. In both promotion/relegation play-off groups, each club plays a home-and-away series with the other clubs. The winner of each play-off group plays in the following season's Eredivisie, with the other teams going to the Eerste Divisie.

In the example above, "Under 2.5" is the favorite (indicated by the "-" sign). Betting $125 on "Under 2.5" goals wins you $100 if the match’s total score is 2, 1 or 0.

Meanwhile, "Over 2.5" is the underdog (indicated by the "+" sign). Betting $100 on "Over 2.5" goals wins you $105 if the game’s total score reaches 3 or more.

In an over under Eredivisie bet, it does not matter which club wins the match. All that matters is the final score.
