The Liga MX is the top level of the Mexican football league system. Currently sponsored by BBVA through its Mexican subsidiary BBVA Bancomer, it is officially known as Liga BBVA Bancomer.
Each Liga MX season is divided into two tournaments - the Apertura (opening), which runs from July to December, and the Clausura (closing), which runs from January to May.
The league is composed of 18 clubs, with one being relegated to Ascenso MX every year (after the two tournaments) based upon its performance over the previous three years.
The first 8 teams in the table at the end of the regular phase of the tournament qualify to the liguilla ("mini-league", or "playoff"). Up until July 2011, the league was divided into 3 groups. The group formatting was removed in favor of a single-table format.
A typical WTA over under bet looks like:

In the example above, betting $113 on "Over 21 games" wins you $100 if the total points of the match is 22 or more. Meanwhile, betting $108 on "Under 21 games" wins you $100 if the total points of the match is 20 or less.
So if the match ends with a score of 6-4, 6-4 (for a total of 20), "Under" bettors win. But if the match ends with a score of 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 (for a total of 30), "Over" bettors win.
If, for some reason, the match ends with a total of 21 points, the bet is called a tie or push and all bets are returned. To avoid this, odds makers add a half point on the totals.
