LNB (Ligue Nationale de Basket) Pro A Over Under Bet

The Pro A is the top-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is being organized by Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB) since 1987, but it has been in existence since 1921.

In LNB Pro A over under betting, you are wagering that the game’s number of points would either be over or under a specified total. A LNB Pro A over under bet looks like:

ASVEL	Over 116	-115
Limoges	Under 116	-105

In the example above, betting $115 on “over 116 points” wins you $100 if the game’s total points is 117 or more. Meanwhile, betting $105 on “under 116 points” wins you $100 if the game’s total points is 115 or less.

If in case the game ends with a total of 116 points, the bookmaker will declare it a push (tie), and all bets are retuned.

The winner of the game is irrelevant to the outcome of the LNB Pro A over under bet. All that matters is the score.

The league is currently composed of 18 teams and a season runs from September to June. LNB teams play each other twice during the regular season, once at home and once on the road. At the end of the regular season, the top eight teams qualify for the playoffs. The two worst teams after the regular season are relegated to the 2nd-tier league aptly named Pro B.

Through the 1985–86 season, the league championship was determined by a one-off final, or solely by league play. Since then, the format for the league finals has changed many times:

• 1994: Best-of-3
• 1995–1996: Best-of-5
• 1997–2004: Best-of-3
• 2005–2012: Single match (at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in Paris)
• 2013–present: Best-of-5

National Basketball Association stars Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, Nicolas Batum, Udonis Haslem and Bruce Bowen all played in the LNB.
