The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), or Federal Basketball League in English, is the highest professional basketball league in Germany. It is presently known as easyCredit BBL and is composed of 18 teams.
The league is run by the Basketball Bundesliga GmbH, 74% of which is owned by the AG BBL e.V. (composed of the teams) and 26% by the German Basketball Federation (DBB).
In BBL over under betting, you are wagering that the game’s number of points would either be over or under a specified total. A BBL over under bet looks like:

In the example above, betting $115 on “over 116 points” wins you $100 if the game’s total points is 117 or more. Meanwhile, betting $105 on “under 116 points” wins you $100 if the game’s total points is 115 or less.
If in case the game ends with a total of 116 points, the bookmaker will declare it a push (tie), and all bets are retuned.
The winner of the game is irrelevant to the outcome of the BBL over under bet. All that matters is the score.
A BBL season usually starts in September and ends in June. It is split into two stages - the league stage and the playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to the lower tier league.
The playoffs are played in a best of five format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season.
